John Carver & The Pilgrim Fathers

‘John Carver is not so well known this side of the pond. This booklet by Alan Archer puts some flesh on the bones of the first Governor of Plymouth Colony. His trails and tribulations in England and Holland are all laid bare. We are not spared the description of the horrible conditions the pilgrims had to endure on the Mayflower. It is a well researched booklet, and reading about Carver one has to admire his tenacity to get things done. Well illustrated with an excellent index. To brush up with your history of the Pilgrim Fathers; a must read.’

‘I enjoyed this little publication and have added it to my ‘Mayflower 400′ commemoration collection. It is very well illustrated and compact enough to read through pain free! It provides a very helpful outline of one of the Pilgrim Fathers’ key players. My only criticism is that there are some printing issues, with repetition in places.’

A customer returned on Friday 4th September 2020 to say she’d a copy of the booklet, ‘John Carver & The Pilgrim Fathers’, £4.95. She wanted me to know she’d enjoyed it, and found it a good and interesting read. Her husband agreed.
