John Carver & The Pilgrim Fathers

‘John Carver is not so well known this side of the pond. This booklet by Alan Archer puts some flesh on the bones of the first Governor of Plymouth Colony. His trails and tribulations in England and Holland are all laid bare. We are not spared the description of the horrible conditions the pilgrims had to endure on the Mayflower. It is a well researched book, and reading about Carver one has to admire his tenacity to get things done. Well illustrated with an excellent index. To brush up with your history of the Pilgrim Fathers a must read.’

Murder Most Foul (originally Only A Weekend)

‘This is not a bad start to a crime novel. The style style suits the content and there’s immediately a mystery for the reader. The premise and structure are good……… There’s the foundation of something good here.’
